We're nutz about you!
This is a great recipe for spiced nuts. Put them out with a cheese and charcuterie plate or sprinkle them on your salad.
I change my spiced nut recipe often using my different rubs and various sweet and savory ingredients. I like both the sweet and savory with a bit of heat in my nuts. The recipe below leans more to the savory side - if you'd like it sweeter add a bit more honey.
It's easy to make and you can use any type of nut. I like using walnuts (I've used cashews, almonds and pecans too) but you can mix them up with whatever you have at home.
Rockin' Rubs Spiced Nutz
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
1.5 T coconut oil
2 T Sweet Inferno
1 T honey
1 T Gochujang (a fermented Korean chili paste)
1 t sea salt
1.5 C walnuts (or whichever type of nut you'd like to use)
Mix everything except the nuts until everything is nicely blended. If the coconut oil or the Gochujang is too cold, warm them slightly in a microwave so they'll mix better. Add in the nuts and mix really well.
Put them in a single layer on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper and place in the oven for 15-20 minutes.
Perfect in a salad!
